EN 204 is a European standard that classifies thermoplastic wood adhesives for non-structural applications into durability classes, D1 to D4. The classes describe how well a bond is expected to hold up under increasing exposure to moisture and water.
Reading the classes
Moving from D1 towards D4 indicates suitability for progressively more demanding moisture conditions. A D3 reference is commonly associated with interior applications that face frequent short-term exposure to water or high humidity.
